As our buggy is designed to carry up to two children we have not had the need to design a buggy board. One would also not fit due to the location of our brakes.

2. Can a Travel System be used when the buggy is set up for two children?
No, the buggy must be set up in a single newborn position.

3. What are the maximum weight limits in the various positions? 4 in 1

To set up for two toddlers request your local retailer to order a Kiwi Explorer Doubles Kit Basic in the appropriate colour.

To set your buggy up for a toddler and a newborn, request your local retailer to order a Kiwi Explorer Doubles Kit Newborn Ready in the appropriate colour.

8. Is the E3 suitable for a newborn?
Yes it is. The newborn bed lies completely flat, which is the recommended position for an infant

9. Can I attach my car seat to the E3?
Yes, with the use of our Travel System. This system is quite universal so it will fit most makes/models of capsule, including Britax, Graco and Evenflo.

10. Can I run with your buggy?
Occasionally yes, however the E3 has not been designed as a full-time jogger.

11. How do I clean my buggy?

Fabric care and cleaning
The fabric is backed with a waterproof coating. Brush off dirt. More intense cleaning can be done by hand, in warm water, using a mild natural soap. Rinse out soap. Do not use detergents or bleach. Air dry. The fabric is fade resistant, but not fade proof; exposure to direct sunlight can fade the fabric.

Frame care and cleaning
We recommend that dirt is brushed off the frame and wheels regularly. Clean with a non-abrasive household cleaner and soft cloth. Wash sand and salt from you Phil and Teds Buggy after beach activity. Always dry frame after becoming wet. Paint chips can be repaired with a touch up kit.

12. How much do I inflate my tyres?
They are a universal tyre, but when being used on a buggy 22PSI is the most effective pressure level.

13. Can I get another copy of the Instruction Booklet?

Yes, for PDF Instruction Booklets for the e3, and other products. Click Here

14. What are the dimensions of the E3 Buggy?
Click Here for a pop up window of the specifications for the e3.

q

15. Why is my buggy pulling to one side when being pushed?

a

It is likely that a tyre needs to be re-inflated. Once the pressure in each tyre is roughly equivalent you will be back on track!

q

16. How come I can’t wheel my dash buggy in the travel bag?

a

When the dash buggy is folded as normal for placement in the travel bag, the brakes will engage. To resolve this, you simply need to reverse the two rear wheels: take each rear wheel and axle off, using the push pins as normal. Turn each wheel around so the brake holder now faces away from the buggy, and put the wheels back on in this position, using the axles. You can now trundle your travel bag along.

q

17. What load can my parcel tray hold?

a

A maximum parcel tray load of 10kg is recommended for all inline buggies.

q

18. How come my vibe buggy rear wheel will not stay on?

a

Your rear guards may not be properly attached. Remove the wheel and push down on the part of the rear guard that sits closest to the ground. You should hear a clear ‘click’ when the guards are properly attached. Replace the wheel, ensuring it is properly fitted.

q

19. My child can unbuckle the harness when in the buggy. What can I do?

a

All buggies have a set of attachment points for an additional harness. These are D-rings, located behind a seated child in the main seat. Attach the additional harness to the D-rings, out of sight of the child.

q

20. Can I get a double kit for my old phil&teds E3 buggy?

a

Yes; please contact your local retailer and place an order with them.

q

21. Why is the foot brake so hard and can I get it fixed?

a

The foot brake found on classic, sport & twin buggies is purposely made to be stiff under strict safety regulations. This is so a child seated in a double kit cannot reach back and release an otherwise stationary brake.

q

22. Can I put twins into an inline buggy?

a

Of course, but it would be from the point they are 5-6 months of age, onward. A doubles kit is not suitable for a child younger than this. The maximum load of a double kit on the buggy front is 20kg/44lbs, and in the rear position is 15kg/33lbs. You would need to observe these load maximums once your little tigers reach this weight. phil&teds makes a side-by-side model - the twin- to accommodate 2 newborns in the lie flat position, and carries a combined seat load of 40kg.

q

23. Doesn’t the child in the back toddler seat dislike being put back there?

a

Far from it! Much like a carseat in the rear of the car, kids like to look out the window at the goings-on around them. Many people tell us their children just love their ‘secret seat’, often wanting to ride in the rear position for novelty appeal. Others say they know their child likes being closer to Mum or Dad (or Grandma or Pa!), where they can look up and flash them a cheeky grin, and freely share chit-chat en route.

q

24. Why does the handle of my sport buggy ‘give’ a little when weight is put on it?

a

This ‘play’ in the handle is necessary to allow for the easy release of the clutch used to adjust the handlebar height. This mechanism has been fully tested and meets all global standards for safety and strength.
