Ok this leg of travel I will refer to was sometime ago now. I’ll do my best to resite this story as best I can from a packhorses (sorry I mean travelling fathers) point of view. read more …

Our amazing photographer & blogging friend, Tasmin escapes to Cockatoo Island

“My family are outdoorsy people and like to camp and hike, but we don’t seem to make the time to get out of the Sydney that often because there is so much cool stuff going on here all the time. Last weekend we visited Cockatoo Island to see the Outpost Project, a street art festival running until 11 December, and it was a good opportunity to take out our new Escape backpack carrier.

How many phil&teds strollers do YOU have?

Thursday, 24 November 2011

phil&teds fanatics come from far and wide!  We have Carolyn who has had everything from an 2005 e3 stroller to the 2010 explorer.  We met Theresa a year ago, and sure enough we have another GENUINE phil&teds addict on our hands – she is a fountain of phil&teds stroller knowledge!  Check out Theresa’s phil&teds stroller history:

“Not only am I the very lucky mummy of six wonderful children, I also have another family too, it’s a rather special family of phil&teds pushchairs (strollers, buggies, prams, pushers)!
My first P&T was bought for my 4th child, a Phil & Teds Sport in Charcoal. I loved it but fancied something a little different to the charcoal so after a while I replaced it with another Sport, but in the fabulous Camo blue colour. (I would love Phil & Teds to make liners in those Camo blue and Camo Pink colours, they would look fab!)

Donate your stroller, inspire others

Monday, 14 November 2011

phil&teds “Buggies for Good” initiative has inspired one of our favourite bloggers to give back too!

This is the letter we received from Nation of Moms:

“I just wanted to give you a quick note to let you know that phil&teds has inspired me to give back.

Since we do review quite a few strollers, ANOM has started a program where we anonymously donate strollers after we review them to local needy families that I hear via our local church.  We just started it this month with a young family of one 3 year old special needs child and twins on the way (due next month), and are very excited about this new venture, though it hasn’t yet been formally announced on the blog-azine.

It’s a good feeling to give to a hardworking family who is truly in need, and a great way to de-clutter and recycle all the wonderful strollers we have been so fortunate to receive.  Thank you for the great idea!!

A HUGE thank you!

A Nation of Moms
It’s truly heart-warming when we hear our initiatives are inspiring others to give back to their communities.  You can too:

The ability to feed children is made easier with the lobster high chair!

Friday, 28 October 2011

Feeding time is usually something that parents worry about, especially when travelling with kids in tow!  Hear first hand from Tasmin & her ability to have lobster at the table everyday!  And whilst at a friends she road-tested the highpod – an easy clean for a messy eater!

First Food is a Lobster – by Tasmin

” Now that my baby is 6 months old, we have started her on solid food and been enjoying the messiness and curiosity that can surround mashed apple and celery sticks. I wanted to encourage her to feed herself as much as possible to help with motor skills and so I can have my breakfast while she attempts to eat hers, so I was really focused on a high chair that was easy to clean. I wanted to allow the dog unfettered access underneath to help me with the clean-up effort and make running a cloth on the floor after mealtime easier than dragging out chair legs that tend to mash more things into the floor.  So of course I went with the new Lobster. I like that she can sit right up at the table with us, yet I can still fold it away into a bag when we have people over for dinner instead of trying to find a hiding place for a big high chair.

phil&teds stroller saves family after Japanese earthquake

Tuesday, 25 October 2011

You guys will probably remember way back in March when we heard from Michael, a very generous phil&teds head?

Michael and his family gave their phil&teds stroller to a family who lost everything in the earthquake!  He wanted to share with us, and you a picture of the family who now own Michael’s sport!

” I finally got a picture of the family we gave our buggy to.   From what I hear from them things are starting to get back to normal now in the city area, but in the outer areas there is still a lot of work to be done.    They are in love with the buggy!  They said as there is still so much dried mud and rubbish around a normal pram wouldn’t cut it! The weather is really nice there at the moment so they usually go for walks everyday.   I’m sure it has brought them some happiness, and being able to enjoy the simple things like just going for a stroll again would be a big thing :)

Thanks again phil&teds”
