“Not only am I the very lucky mummy of six wonderful children, I also have another family too, it’s a rather special family of phil&teds pushchairs (strollers, buggies, prams, pushers)!
My first P&T was bought for my 4th child, a Phil & Teds Sport in Charcoal. I loved it but fancied something a little different to the charcoal so after a while I replaced it with another Sport, but in the fabulous Camo blue colour. (I would love Phil & Teds to make liners in those Camo blue and Camo Pink colours, they would look fab!)
I thoroughly enjoyed using my Sport pushchair as a single with my young son and when I found out I was expecting again I was really excited at the prospect of using it as a double. Rather unexpectedly my sonographer revealed that I was carrying twins so the visions of my newborn snuggled in the cocoon while my son rode in the “king seat” on top were far from the reality.
The wonderful news that I was expecting twins meant a serious pushchair dilemma, I needed one to cater for a 2yr old and newborn twins and sadly the Sport wasn’t going to work. I was quite sad to have to part with it but as soon as the twins were big enough to use a P&T, I bought them one, a phil&teds Vibe.
I’ll be honest and say that this is probably the point where my love of phil&teds pushchairs went a little crazy! The Vibe was great and worked really well with the twins in situations where my side by side double wasn’t suitable.
However, shortly after, the original Sport model was discontinued and replaced with the new Explorer, I loved the new features that the Explorer had so I bought one of those to use in place of the Vibe (which was actually passed onto another twin mummy to use alongside her side by side double too).
Meanwhile, the lovely people at P&T were busy updating the original Vibe model and when the new version was released it included some of the brilliant new features of the new Explorer and I was torn. Whilst the Explorer was great, I really missed my shiny, sleek looking Vibe, so I changed again. The Vibe 2 was our new inline pushchair and it was fab.
Alongside the Vibe 2, I really liked the idea of having two single pushchairs for the twins so that on family days out my husband and I could take one little one each. There was no question as to which ones I’d buy and that was the point where the two phil&teds Smart pushchairs joined our family. They are like the little brothers of the Vibe 2, shiny and very sleek, and they’ve been great, especially on messy days out as they just wipe clean.
At that stage I thought that my P&T family was complete but shortly after I was tempted again. Being a massive phil&teds fan I was intrigued by the release of the Verve, a shiny new 4 wheeled pushchair, very similar to the Vibe & Smart style, which I loved. Before I knew it I had a Verve on the way too, which after using I discovered was definitely “THE ONE” and the P&T that I had been waiting for. It is simply superb!
So, my P&T family now consists of 2 x Smart pushchairs and the Verve and they are brilliant. I recently tried another Sport but after having the Explorer, Vibe2 & Verve I’ve been spoilt with all the new features. The one handed reclines, the follow the sun hoods, the easy folds and newly designed breaks are just so good that I really missed them. P&T have done a fantastic job with all the updates and by the looks of things there’s more great pushchairs to come from them too…

Unfortunately I think they’ll be released too late for me to use with my twins but I am confident that the P&T love which has spread throughout my family over the years will mean that my future grandchildren will most definitely be P&T heads too!” Theresa, UK

Holy cow! You have spent more on strollers than my husband and I spent my minivan and his sedan, combined! I would say that I am envious, but we have two sport doubles, in red and charcoal, and they are so amazing that I have never even considered replacing them. Though, I love the look of the Verve! We got each of them brand new, but for unbelievable bargains, and feel blessed every day to own these things that make my life as a mother of 3 kids, 3 years old and under, so much easier! <3
WOW, thats amazing. I thought I was a little excessive after having an e3 V2 for my first baby, then upgrading to a sport when I had my 2nd, just because I wanted an apple green one, then upgrading to the explorer just becasue of the pedal brake and the larger sun hood when baby #3 arrived. This blog has made me feel so much better about my P&T history. Lucky you being able to buy all these different buggies. My husband had to be convinced at each step. Tho I LOVE my explorer and would not be without my doubles seat to carry all the backpacks to and from school.
How many over the years – let me count…. about 14 I think
I’ve only had two-but geepers I feel like I have 50million other P&T products. <3 P&T
Awesome – Melissa: what other p&t stuff do you have?
Carolyn – you are in the lead!!!
Amy – so happy life is made easier – 3 under 3 – I think you’re a super mum!
Mory – we might be bias here, but the explorer is pretty wicked!!
Wow you worked through 10 strollers. I guess the first 9 did not come up to scratch. You seem a little fixated on P&T. If you cannot find one that does the job in 10. Have you thought about trying any other brands?
I know she has tried other brands. I’ve also tried many other brands of buggies, but find P&T are great-there are different pros and cons to the different models. It is very hard to find the *perfect* stroller, esp when companies keep making better and better ones
Other P&T gear I have-Highpod, Nest, Bebe Recline, Bebe*, Pepe carrier, Metoo, Lazzy Ted plus a whole bunch of stuff for my Explorer
Ha, ha, luckily I have a very understanding husband who also has great taste in pushchairs and knows how fab P&T’s are!
@SURPRISEDAD: I have tried and currently own other brands of pushchairs, but P&T are one of my favourites. Just because I’ve had so many, it doesn’t mean they don’t come up to scratch, but that I like to upgrade to the new features offered on the newer models. Another example of this is my mobile phone (apple iphone), it is my favourite mobile, so as a new model of it is released, I upgrade. I went from 3g to 3gs to 4 to 4s. Each model is brilliant and then they make the next one even better, so I buy that one.
I just like to move with the times and try them all
have had 16.. and 3 kids
