Where our stuff is made

It all happened because we were rubbish at manufacturing our buggies in New Zealand – we had a 180% production return rate (NOT good) so we had to get better. We tried out sourcing our frames and fabric but eventually we took our manufacturing to Taiwan and then to China. We've been in China now for 9 years and have 4 factories contracted to us and they only make phil&teds products - they're passionate about what we do.

These factories all have natural light, are heated or cooled accordingly, lunches are paid for and the people working there work a 10 hour day. They love to work and do as much overtime as allowed. We admire their work ethic.

How do we know? We visit often and have great relationships with these guys.

We've also got guys working for us in China checking the quality of our products because our mission is to design, make and market products of the highest quality.They liaise with our quality assurance team in New Zealand who monitor the quality of our customer interactions, with the intent to continually improve our customers total experience.
