Useful travel bag

 4/5

The Up & Away stroller travel bag I bought is for my Phil & Ted's Explorer buggy. It's very useful, does its job and keeps my stroller clean. I would use it again when flying, but only when I'm not planning on using my stroller in the airport. When you're traveling alone with 2 kids, it takes a bit of time to get your stroller into the bag, get the wheels off, and the 2nd seat doesn't fit - which actually made my 2nd seat get lost en route. So I wouldn't necessarily fly with it if you're flying alone, but if you have help or flying with someone else and there's a moment to do this its great cause you know your stroller is clean and there is less of a chance for damage. Overall still a great product.

The best piece of airline luggage. Ever. The tardis of packing, this cover provides fantastic protection for the stroller while travelling. It is easy to use and, don't tell the airlines, will fit more than just the stroller! We also unclip the shoulder strap from the wheel end and clip it on to the handle - this makes a perfect baggage trolley for carting the families bags through terminals while leaving Mum and Dad's hands free to hold passports/children/dirty nappies/food until checked in.

Got it in!

Managed to pack my E3 Sports v2 into the bag, with a bit of parts removal - handle bars and wheels. No instructions were provided with the purchase so I had no idea what to do. Thanks to Sophie with the Youtube link - I would not have worked it out otherwise! I've been able to practice and now have no worries getting the stroller into the bag for travel. Looking forward to the holiday now!

Great design

Great travel bag, just used it for a trip to UK and it's great. Strong and mobile. Very happy. I found that so long as the handle was in the right position I could pack it in 2 minutes.(without the video or a very strong husband). Like most things it took a little know-how and not brute force to insert the pram.

Extremely Tight Fit

Has anyone else had trouble fitting the stroller into this case? It seems too small -- my very strong husband and I pulling together could barely yank and pull the darned thing into the travel case. It doesn't help that the case comes with no instructions, and the two sentences of instructions in the stroller manual are virtually no help. I suppose if you need to check the stroller onto an airplane (like we do) this is your only option for this stroller, but they ought to be able to manufacture it with a little bit of wiggle room. Even after all our wrangling, we still couldn't get the zipper closed all the way. I sincerely hope this doesn't mean major trouble once it's checked (visions of ripped zippers and missing/mangled $300 strollers running through my head) -- we'll find out soon. Just for the record, this is not my first problem with Phil & Ted's products being manufactured too small -- when I first got my Sport stroller the shoulder straps that are supposed to adjust weren't able to because of a manufacturing defect. Regal Lager (the US distributor) quickly sent me a replacement main frame, but again with no instructions. It took me half a day and three phone calls to them to get it done. Maybe there are similar manufacturing errors on the travel bag that makes it too tight? Would love to know if anyone else has had similar problems...

Also had trouble fitting into the travel bag. Not happy with no instructoins also. I managed to get it closed, although took two of us and i am just hoping that it stays together for the flight.

FINALLY worked it out

Don't know if this will help anyone but it sure as heck help me! With 4 days before we leave for the UK I thought I had better practise getting the stroller in its bag, after a half hour or painful trying I found this video and it was then in the bag in about 2 minutes flat! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qk2C3psMU7s
