| The entire phil&teds crew were itching to help the New Zealand city of Christchurch whānau (family in Māori), affected by the earthquake of 22nd February ! We asked for ideas from people about how we can help. We had staff offering their homes to house people, volunteering their spare time, and sending food & clothing parcels! Here's what we ended up doing: |
| • Running stalls at local summer fairs selling phil&teds, Mountain Buggy, and mokopuna goodies - with all $$ going to Christchurch • Thanks to our "Buggies for Good" initiative we were able to donate pre-loved buggies to families, & organisations such as Ronald McDonald House CHCH & the neonatal trust - read more |
| • Ran auctions on trademe & ebay of phil&teds signed stuff, the likes of the All Blacks, Naomi Watts & Bret McKenzie, from "Flight of the Conchords" (yes, we're totally name dropping!) - read more | |
| • Cooking for residents moved to Wellington's Ronald McDonald House after the quake • Donate a day initiative - you can still help! Head to donate-a-day.co.nz and get donating, come on Kiwis! In June 2010 phil&teds donated over $14,000 to Ronald McDonald House in Christchurch - we're so happy to have helped! Visit the phil&thropic gallery on our facebook page here! |
