I purchased this cot recently for my 20 month old son. I have found it easy to assemble and transport/carry and he sleeps well in it. I liked that it had everything you need with it too. The only difficulty I found was in attaching the mattress to the cot, tricky especially for a short person. I ended up not being able to attach it, the . He still slept fine in it but I am aware it was not used how it was recommended. Overall, a really good product, thanks.

These travel cribs are awesome! So easy and light to pack up for air travel. They are slimmer than a standard playpen so we can easily fit two for our twins in one room when we are travelling or they are staying over at a grandparents house. We also use them for napping at the sitters. We have found the travel cribs so useful that we just purchased another for our 4 month old. Now each of our kids (2 and under) have one for sleeping away from home!

I bought this when my daughter was already a year old. she is now 2.5 and still fits in it. In retrospect, I should have ditched the idea of a "pack and play" and just got this. I now have both. My husband and I travel by plane a lot with our daughter (6 or so times a year), have travelled cross country and internationally with her and this was one of the best purchases we got as parents. We ended up leaving that expensive $200 (ingenuity) play yard at my dad's house in another state to avoid lugging extra stuff but we bring this everywhere else we go. there is a front zipper that zips down so my toddler can use it. it is super light. while it takes a few minutes to set up, in my opinion, its totally worth it in exchange for the lightness. I remember reading reviews saying it was a hassle. If you are using this for more than an hour, I couldn't disagree more. I also like the breathable fabric. makes me less nervous about SIDS. it could easily fit in a carry-on bag. my only advice is to put it in another bag if you check it. we checked it once and the bag it came with ripped. the bag its in is very flimsy. fortunately as frequent fliers Delta reimbursed us some money for a bag replacement (which I still haven't found). anyway, all said and done, this is better than just a travel crib. you can use this as your play yard and it folds easily for travel. I am now expecting my second daughter any day and already know I will be using this product. that other play yard I spent the same amount on only get used at my dads a few times a year and was not worth it. but I realize I was a novice mom then and didn't know any better. win some lose some. the phil and teds travel crib is a good investment even if you are just traveling across town to grandma and grandpa's house. it takes up little space, is super light, and is easy to put together.

It's light, easy to put up, packs away easily and my son has always slept well in it.
The only thing I would change is the release buttons in the middle of the long side rails as I find them really difficult to push/use as I've suffered from mild carpal tunnel after both my kids which isn't uncommon.

Really happy with how light, sturdy and easy to put together this was. It is very well made and even comes with nice soft sheets. It will fit in our big suitcase when we travel, with room for the other baby gear around it.
We have not used it overnight yet but I am confident my baby will be comfortable and safe in it. It's also a good size - small enough footprint to work in a hotel room but also big enough for baby to be comfortable, even if they're a wriggler like ours is.
Service and postage was good too - fast and no fuss.

I'm on my third traveller cot as I love them so much, but also use them a lot (multiple kids). I love the lightweight easy to use design and also seeing how P&T has improved it over time. Big pluses: Lightweight, compact bag that can fit in a suitcase, visibility, sloped sides so it is hard for younger kids to stand up... Small cons: My kids (after about 2 years) have been able to tip it over, the snaps at the bottom of the feet are fidgety and can wear out/fray over time, and the mosquito net is also a bit fidgety (particularly if you're trying to get quick access). However my big complaint is how expensive it is in Europe. After buying my other ones in New Zealand and Australia, I was very surprised at how that translated into Euros. Bit disappointed as it makes it harder to recommend the product to other european based friends.

A friend gave me this after I was complaining about having to take the normal porta cot overseas again. I wanted something light weight with a decent mattress and this ticked those boxes. The best thing I found though was the mesh zip up covering, in previous porta cots I always had to spray rooms and take extra precautions with mosquitoes - with the phil & teds one I never have to worry. I was concerned she'd tip it over but never had an issue and I also love that she's locked in. The blow up mattress could be a little thicker but it's far superior to anything else I've tried. The stitching has started to come undone (it has been around awhile) but I've only recently discovered it's more to do with the way I dismantle it that puts extra pressure on the seams. As a frequent traveller I can not recommend this travel cot enough. I'm hoping she fits in it until she's 4!

Let's start with the positives; absolutely love it when it's finally up and it's so compact. I love the mesh too. However, the negatives outweigh the positives. It takes forever to put up and the take down is even worse. Stay away from this pack and play if you're not a patient person. It's the little round button clips that make it so hard to take down. Grandma did not have the strength to undue the poles. Agh. I paid the money so I will continue to use it, however move on and look at other options.

We are about to embark on a 5 week around the world trip with our 7 month old. We've been giving our daughter some practice sleeping in it before we head off on our trip. She took to it immediately and slept really well! She is a very fussy sleeper so we were surprised.
The cot is really easy to put up and take down. The only tricky bit is hooking the mattress onto the base. We've found it really easy otherwise, contrary to some of the reviews of this product.
The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because the mattress is not very breathable and our daughter woke up with a sweaty tummy after a long sleep. Other than that, is perfect.

I purchased this after a solid week of researching my different options and it hasn't disappointed. It fitted neatly in my suitcase, so we didn't look like a travelling circus during our recent trip abroad. I found it pretty simple and quick to assemble (despite reading some reviews to the contrary). The mattress is very low to the ground, which wasn't problem for me and my four-month old certainly didn't seem to mind, but the grandparents struggle to get her in and out a bit.

We bought this for a 3 week road trip with our 20.5 month old, 29lb, son. We were staying in hotels and cabins during this time. This travel bed packs up nice and small and is so light weight. The first two times putting it together were a little slow, but after this we had no problems. I will say that attaching the mattress to the inside of the travel bed is still a little fiddley. I need to use tweezers to attach the loops on the mattress to the hooks on the floor of the bed. Although the sheets made for this travel bed are a little thinner than I would have liked, they are very soft, functional, and wash well. The bed did a good job of containing our son. He didn't try to climb out and was not able to unzip the sides because the zippers are located on the outside of the bed.

We bought this cot for our (currently) 5 month old as we are planning to travel a lot over the coming months. The cot is very light and compact, which was a major bonus for us as we will be doing a lot of air travel. Even though it is small enough for hand luggage, we have so far checked it in as free baby luggage. The cot is slim, but tall, and our baby slept well in it! It was very easy to assemble and dis-assemble. The zip-down side is especially useful for sliding a sleeping baby in and out of (as opposed to going in via the top which would be trickier/heavier). We have bought the extra mesh for the top but have yet to use it. Unfortunately the extra sheets were out of stock when we were ordering - although one sheet is included in the purchase, it will be useful to have a couple more. Overall we are happy with this product and would recommend it for any travellers!

We wanted a travel cot that we could take abroad without having to take a seperate bag. This travel cot fits in a suitcase with room to spare. It is easy to put up and take down. The zip open front compartment makes it easy for setting up bedding. Also love the fact it is so light to carry. The only downside would be the blow up mattress feels quite thin but you can add a blanket underneath if the floor is very hard. Our daughter has been happy sleeping in this travel cot.

Travelling with a baby is all that never 'light', but this cot goes a long way to helping the cause. It is extremely compact, lightweight and easy to assemble. To be so compact it does disassemble into more pieces than some other cots, but once you get the hang of it, it is very simple to put together and well worth the saved space and bulk. I was initially concerned that the mattress was too thin, however it is surprisingly supportive. Also, I like how the mattress anchors into the base of the cot, so there is no risk of it lifting or baby getting caught in/under it.
I would highly recommend this cot!

Bought for a 3 week holiday, worked well. Suggestions: the mattress attachments are tricky to use, a strap, such as used on a back pack might be easier. The mattress also tends to raise up in the middle. My daughter often ended up at one end or the other. Not sure why it does this. The sheet could include a lining, like a mattress protector, for liquid moments.

Bought this product for our one year travel and within one trip overseas:
1. the carrier bag is in shreds, and
2. the base of the cot is ripped.
I must be the most unfortunate of buyers and received the one product that they don't do quality control on.
As far as functionality, it's easy enough to put together and take down.

Bought this for the size and weight. Baby is 14 months and she is very very happy sleeping in it. No question it is convenient to carry- but it is not fun to put together the first few times and you need at least 10 minutes to get it done- which doesn't seem like much unless you're at the end of a long trip and desperate to get baby to bed. Very different to the traditional pack'nplay which takes 30 seconds to set up. On balance it's worth the price but it would be 5 stars if only it was that little bit easier.

This portacot is fantastic, it is so light and so quick and easy to put up and take down. It folds down into a small bag and took up very little room in the car. It's very spacious and our 6 month old daughter loved sleeping in it on our recent holiday. The zip down sides are handy too to save your back from bending to lift up and put down the baby. I'd never consider a traditional heavy and bulky portacot after having this.

I brought this for my 1 year old daughter. Wanted something really light weight and easy to assemble. Which this product said it was.
Yes it was light weight. But what a pile of rubbish it is.
Was not simple to put together... And it certainly was no easier to take apart!! I could hardly get the legs back out. The width of it is very small my daughter would not of been able to stretch out. And the frame is so flimsy!!! It's not sturdy at all. I think she could of pushed it over whilst stood up in it! For £160 it's terrible!!
I brought the nuna sena travel cot in the end. Absolutely brilliant.
And just to top it of I had to send it back paying £18.00!!!
Would not recommend this product to anybody.

I did have another port-a-cot which is extremely heavy and bulky. With everything you need when travelling with two kids (a 2 yo and a 3 mo) I found that we just didn't have room for it. I started searching for a more practical alternative and found this traveller travel crib. I did initially think it was a bit pricey, but after using it for the first time I thought it was definately worth what I paid. It is so light and takes up so little space, and is super easy to assemble.. The fitted sheet is fantastic as it gives peace of mind that bub isn't going to get tangled up. Well and truly one of the best baby products I've purchased. Highly recommend!

This has to be one of the best 'baby investment' pieces we brought. It's super easy to set up, secure and safe for the little one. The travellver travel crib comes in a handy bag that takes up nearly no room when travelling. It is also a versatile product; unzip the side and its a safe place for your toddler to play while you get ready or pack up!
Highly recommend to other parents looking for easy, fuss free, light weight travel cot/ crib.

I bought this item to save my back. I can put my almost asleep daughter to bed without having to bend over and put her in from the top like the pack and play. She sleeps really well in here. I also like that when she wakes up I can just open up the side zippers and let her out. It is great that it is so light weight and folds small. The things I would improve are the set up and take down. The little silver buttons need to be pushed with a tool like a Swiss army knife in order for the device to be set up or taken down. I would recommend those buttons be on springs for tired parents to use more easily and without an extra tool. Further I would reinforce the mechanism used to attach the bottom corners to the legs. Our first traveller had to be returned to the store as those little plastic tabs broke off as we set the device up for the first time. We got a new one within hours at our local store. Our second traveller has been wonderful and nothing has broken. I would also like to see the item sold with two sheets instead of just one. While you can attach the mattress to the floor of the traveller we never have. We bought the mesh top to make it great for sleeping outdoors.

I have also tried to disassble the legs but am having no luck due to the fact that I cannot push in the black tabs since they did not pop out of the holes. My husband and I received this crib right before Christmas 2014. I love how lightweight it is! Coming in at 7 pounds, it weighs less than my 6 month old son did when he was born! I also love the convenient travel shoulder-carry bag it comes with-- WAY less bulky than our pack'n'play and much easier to transport. We have not taken it on a plane, but being so compact, it takes up much less space in the trunk of our car. There are only two negatives: 1) We had a hard time disassembling it the first few times. The "buttons" on the legs and the top pieces seemed to get stuck. 2) I wish there was an insert of some sort so when you have a newborn you aren't bending so far over to lay them down. It's much easier to bend farther over as they get older because they have more body control, but early on it would be more difficult and straining on the back. Overall, this is a wonderful product that phil&teds has put out and I would definitely recommend this to friends and family!

We bought it online and used it about dozen times. Unfortunately our 6 months old daughter hates it. She can't sleep in it, cries when inside, etc. I think the problem is that it's too close to the floor and the mattress is too thin. Also the whole design of it seem quite flimsy.

She has been to multiple ski hills, camping, road trips and the obligatory trips to Grandma's. The Traveller is light, comfortable, easy to assemble and disassemble. Our baby had juuust outgrown the Nest when we travelled with him at 3 mos, so we took the Traveller with us. It fit in our suitcase diagonally without problem and after some practice, setting up is not difficult. The style of the plastic 'buttons' that hold some of the parts together means that it's easier for me to depress them with a pen in order to take apart (too small for fingers). My only real complaint is that the black plastic bits that secure the mattress tabs to the base are incredibly fiddly and that (being black) they're hard to see if you're in a room with poor lighting. Overall I am happy with the product as it is really VERY light and it breaks down and sets up easily enough.

A few of our friends have purchased them also after seeing how space saving they are! Not only this, our daughter slept in this in her room from 2-3 years as she was scared of a big bed but felt safe in this.... and although it looks small there is plenty of length for toddlers too! We purchased this crib anticipating using it with our second child, who has not arrived yet. We had it shipped to grandma's house and our two and a half year old, 35 lb. son slept comfortably in it while we were there. He stood up and walked around in it, and even tried to climb out a few times, but the crib did not tip or show any signs of distress. My son and I both like the zip side feature that allowed him to get in and out himself (once I did the zipper). We will definitely be taking this crib with us on trips from now on! It is so small in its carry bag and it very light which helps with the airline weight restrictions.

Tip: be careful with the legs of the bed! Pay attention to not bang them or be rough with them, cuz they dent easy. I'm guessing this is due to the material used in the legs to keep the whole thing light. Otherwise it is fantastic!!

This has lasted us nearly 4 yrs and we are still using it for our second child who is nearly two (eldest is almost 4). It packs away easily and is quick to set up. My eldest daughter wouldn't sleep in a pack n play at relatives but always slept in her travel crib. We don't even bother with pack n play's now when it's offered. We have noticed that now the mattress doesn't hold the air as long as it used to but we are only putting more air into it about every 2 days.

My bride and I bought this for our first baby about 5 years ago and were really excited about it! It worked great for about the first year and then we started having problems. We took very good care of it and were as careful as possible, but a couple of the feet broke, one of the plastic connector pieces for the top/middle frame broke, and the carry-bag was poorly made. It was slightly too small and it wasn't long (within the 1st year I believe) before the zipper broke and then the bag ripped.
Perhaps since it's been a few years, p&t has made improvements on it, which would be great as it the best traveler we've seen, it just wasn't quite there.
We're about to welcome our 3rd and would love to have another one that is this convenient, but we're a bit wary due to the previous experience.

Very happy also ordered the uv cover and was impressed by how easy it is to put up and we received the product really fast which was a bonus. Will be using this a lot over summer!

I brought this for our 2nd child to have a safe play area from his older brother and our puppy but he now sleeps in it every night. We just love it

I was a bit apprehensive buying this as a friend has the old version with the poles/string. I tried using it and struggled, this version is fantatic and so easy and quick to put together and take down! I don't mind it being slightly larger than the old version when dismantled in bag as having the poles as one piece makes for such easy assembly. LOVE IT!
Small improvements: Mattress doesn't inflate very well on its own - need to blow it up manually. Additional cover that you pull on over top I didn't like, makes for very fiddly when trying to get baby out, prefer the zip style of the old model - maybe have the new cover with an internal zip system to open up as well?

We (Grandma and Grandpa) received our Phil and Ted's Traveller Travel Crib for when the baby comes to our home. It was easy to assemble and we were amazed at how portable the travel crib is! It's light enough to sling over your shoulder and comes with a shoulder strap for just that reason. We liked it so much that we've purchased another for when baby visits at Great Grandma and Great Grandpa's home.

I was stoked to find this thing - with all the gear you have to take travelling with a baby, a lightweight travel crib that fits inside a suitcase with all my other stuff is a godsend! We just took our 2 kids to Hong Kong, and I couldn't have asked for a more convenient sleep solution for little Jackson. Thanks a million phil and ted!

I purchased this for my son when he was a little over a year old. He's almost four now, and we still use it when we go on vacation. It's absolutely wonderful! He feels more secure in it and sleeps better than he does in hotel beds because it offers a surrounding he's familiar with.
It's certainly not something I'd use with a baby younger than eight or nine months because it's large, and they might wake themselves up rolling around in (we also pad it with extra blankets from our son's bed at home for added comfort and familiarity, something that we couldn't do if he were an infant), but for older children it's worth every penny!
Set up and tear down take a little practice, but once you know what you're doing, you'll love how small a package it squishes into (all my friends with pack-in-plays envy it.)
One final note: I can't say enough nice things about the customer service at Phil & Ted's. On one trip, my hubby forgot a piece of the frame. I looked on every site trying to find replacement parts, but couldn't find any. Finally, as a last resort, I emailed Phil & Ted's directly. After exchanging a few emails with one of their representatives about the specs of the piece, they sent me the replacement part completely free of charge. They are awesome!
