International Food Festival 2014

The International Food Festival is in it’s seventh year running at phil&teds HQ which is pretty spectacular! The food festival is a chance for all phil&teds heads to show off their culinary talent and bring a dish representing their culture and heritage. It’s an awesome opportunity to celebrate as well as sample the delicacies of the many different cuisines. There are some talented chefs amongst the crew and the range of dishes on offer were delicious! It was hard to know where to start…or finish for that matter. Food glorious food for miles. Salmon canapes, raw fish, bacon and egg pie, lamb and kumara salad, fresh baked breads, curry and rice, meatballs, spring rolls, cheeses, sangria, and all kinds of sweet treats lined the tables. It’s quite special to be a part of an event like this. It brings everyone together like one big family, where everyone gets to enjoy good tucker, share stories, have a laugh and swap recipes. It’s one of those days that everyone looks forward to on the event calendar – judging from the pics, it’s not hard to see why!

Even the phil&teds poppy highchair was a welcome addition to the party. Super handy for holding those heavy plates when we needed a break between chewing…it’s tough work being a phil&teds head!
