Target Car Seat Trade in 2017 – What to expect

After the wild success of the Target Car Seat Trade in 2017 back in April, Target are at it again – for a limited time

From September 10 to the 23rd Target will be accepting old car seats in exchange for a 20% discount coupon. These coupons are for the purchase of a new car seat, booster seat, car seat base and travel system. This initiative is called the Target Car Seat Trade in 2017.

The Target Car Seat Trade in 2017 program will be accepting seats in any condition. They can be functioning, not functioning, complete or in complete disarray – it’s up to you how you bring them in.

Here is a statement from the Target press release:

“Whether it’s too small for your growing tot, too old or simply time for a new model, Target will gladly take it off your hands…again,”

This is a great initiative. It really doesn’t matter what condition your seat is in. It can be brand new and you just didn’t like the look of it. There could be surprise vom from a previous road trip and you just didn’t have time to clean it. Maybe you want to upgrade your seat to one that’s easy to use and matches your stroller.

This initiative has been revived due to the wild success of their first foray in April. 80,000 seats were recycled in the first Target Car Seat Trade in 2017.

“After collecting more than a million pounds of car seat material to be recycled from the program in April, we’re excited to be bringing this amazing program back,” she says. “We’re always looking for ways to make the lives of our guests easier and we’re proud to be able to help them reduce household clutter in a responsible and environmentally-friendly way.”

The Target Car Seat Trade in 2017 program is for a limited time only. Remember to get to visit Target this month (before the 23rd) and trade in your car seat. While you’re there, check out the phil&teds alpha car seat and the range of phil&teds strollers.
