Getting out with two

 4/5

I recently purchased the double kit for this product. I have been able to get out and about with my 3 year old and baby with ease. All around the stroller is sturdy and very adaptable. My husband finds it a little difficult to push because he is tall and often kicks the unde carriage as he walks. For me, it is great.

Double

 5/5

I just brought this buggy on its first long haul flight Dublin - London and London - Capetown it is ideal in the airport as I have a 5 Month old and a 2 year old and of course to help with some of the baggage ie coats and nappy bags - it is also a very handy shopping buggy due to the large storage basket. The Bumper bar is ideal as my 2 year old does not like to be strapped in.

Great pram

 4/5

My sister gave me this pram once she was finished with it. I have the attachment to add a Britax capsule which makes getting baby in and out so easy and effortless.
We did have to purchase a new tyre after many years of use however it came quickly with no fuss.
This pram is easy to use, my only issue is it takes up quite a lot of boot room (small SUV)

Love this pram !

 5/5

Got this pram 4 years ago and still using - in 5 weeks expexting my second child and will never Chang for any other pram

Just Ok

 2/5

I purchased this buggy new in 2011 for my first child. Quite a few downsides unfortunately I found it extremely heavy and bulky and often had trouble liftin it in and out of my car boot. Also had to replace both tires and guards at hellishly expensive prices from the website. Found the rain cover to be difficult to get on and off aswell. For the price I wasn't extremely impressed.

Great adaptability!

 4/5

We have had this pram for 2 children now. Received a different capsule for our baby this time & love the adaptor options to be able to keep our baby asleep from car to pram. Wish we had this for the first child!

Reliability and Versatility

 5/5

After over 30 years of childcare experience this is the only pram ill use.
Honestly! I have had a multitude of nanny jobs, been in every conceivable child care field and for the last 4 years have run my own busy Family Day Care. I reckon I've used every pram available and this is the one i choose. In my line of business its not about what looks good at school pickup, its about how many children I can fit on it and still push it. Our best is 4 after a balance bike blow out on the way home. Its about how much we can carry and its about whether it is easy to maneuver on public transport. Mostly its about reliability. I would and constantly do recommend the Phil and Teds classic to everyone of my new mums and dads.

a must have for active people

 5/5

I have had my pram for 7 years and 2 months ago we had our 3rd baby. I love the fact that i can buy individual parts to upgrade. Now i feel like i have a brand new pram. Love love love this pram.

Great investment.

 4/5

We bought this when we had our 4th bubba. We're now at number 8 and it's still going strong. It's brilliant. So easy to put up and down.

Very Versitile

 5/5

I have been through 4 pushchairs as my son is broad and kept growing out of them. I wish I had brought this first! The seat is wide and long so plenty of room to grow and the pushchair is very easy and light to push with the 3 air tyres. The pushchair is quick to fold down and is light when putting it in to my small boot. The double seat has been great as a spare for friends so we don't have to take 2 pushchairs and for also lugging everything back from the beach as well as the huge shopping basket! The rain covers are easy and quick to pop on and off. I've got the cocoon and car seat already but haven't used it as yet..........

Not at all what I thought

 1/5

Although the design idea is great this stroller has not suited our needs and is always falling apart When I first bought it I was without it for weeks because it was faulty and the frame was replaced on warranty. I am not sure why I have had so much trouble with this stroller but even though I had rav reviews by my friends I think mine was built on a Monday or Friday lol

I'm on the fence

 3/5

For the price of the stroller, I was surprised at the quality. It is difficult to inflate the tires as they slip on the rims and become unbalanced. Within a couple months, we lost a mud-guard. Also, the cup holder was bizarre, and didn't hold anything without spilling completely. Would probably invest in a new stroller for baby number 2 rather than buy the extension.

Value for money

 4/5

Yes - it might be pricy (bought ours 6 years ago), but great value for money. With tough handling and lots of miles on the wheels, it's still in an excellent condition and very sturdy. With 2 kids (4 and 2), we also bought the extra carrier and it's great to have an all in one pram with lots of space for the kids and other necessities. Has been used from day 1 of our first child's birth and still use it for family days out.Can highly recommend this product!

great investment !!!!

 5/5

Love it brought our one second hand its 4 years old and still like new very well made I can see we are going to use it for years to come and I'll still be able to sell it on great investment

Easy to handle

 5/5

I LOVE this stroller. I bought mine nearly five years ago and have used it almost daily as a double stroller for several of those years. It is SO easy to handle. Every time I try pushing someone else's stroller I appreciate mine more. I love that it sets up differently for a newborn than a toddler. The handle adjusts making it the only stroller that feels comfortable to me being a tall woman. The only thing I don't like is the wheel guards. They beak too easily.

exceptional

 5/5

this is hands down the best buggy on the market. an all round winner.
you can't beat this buggy on durability, comfort, style, practicality and obviously value for money.
this is our only ever choice of buggy and recommend to each and every parent out there.
well done to the entire Phil & Teds team......you guys are awesome!!!
thanks
'over the moon' parents

Handy for young toddler and baby

 3/5

I have had this stroller for a year. It was very handy when I had my sons 21 months apart. It is very handy being able to put the second seat on when needed. I love that it can be a single or a double stroller. The biggest problem is the wheels. I have had to replace one of them and just today I decided I need to replace another. The tires do not stay on the rims and are constantly flat. I am assuming this is a defect with the rims.

amazing!

 5/5

5 kids later and STILL my #1 favorite baby gear! I am apart of a mommy group and 12 moms have purchased the same stroller due to how much i love mine. the ease of running and every day errands is amazing. it fits into single doors and is easy to set up. LOVE LOVE LOVE My stroller. we have used it at disney many times and it was so nice to not have this HUGE side by side. love the different positions the stroller will convert to!

Brilliant design

 4/5

I have had mine for years, its been through four kids and is just brilliant, narrow enough to get around the shops, the tandem doesn't limit this either. Great pram. Only lost a star because sometimes the steering can be tricky but they may be due to wear and tear. I highly recommend this pram as a double, it has all you need.

6 years old now; still a great buy.

 4/5

We bought this in 09 for our second child and it is still working wonderfully. I hate the double wide stroller and the classic tandem cannot be steered properly. At the time, this company had the only stroller of it's kind and we were not interested in the sit and stand. Great feature that it can be totally taken apart and parts can be individually washed or even replaced. Minus one star for the tires. The inertubes are not reliable and are very expensive through Phil and Ted's. We actually used our vehicle's fix a flat last time in an emergency and although the tire weighs a ton because it is solid, we can use it with no problem!

Best money we ever spent!

 5/5

I bought this buggy 5 years ago and I am just about to use it for my 3rd child. It goes everywhere with us. I had to struggle with my 6 year old and 4 year old that it was time to hand it over to the new baby. We do a lot o of outdoor activities and this buggy is so durable and adaptable to our family as it grows. I have just purchased the new snug cot for the new baby and I am delighted with it.

A great stroller if you'll need a double

 3/5

If I was only having one child I think there would be Better options as this one is tough to fold and reopen and is really large when folded but I really started to appreciate this folder when I had my second and got the double kit! You can use this for two kids of any age, right from birth and the second seat is cheap and doesn't really increase the size of the stroller when in use because the the seat clicks in right behind the original seat. It's easy to navigate around and great on trails. I would recommend this stroller.

The one and only!

 5/5

We have used our stroller daily through two kids and over three years and cannot say enough good things about it. I tell everyone it is the one baby item I could not have done without. Especially after baby number came along and the double stroller accommodated and contained two little ones. I love my Phil and TedsClassic:)

Best of the best

 5/5

I have four kids under 7, this has worked from when my oldest was a baby to using it now with my youngest. We use it multiple times every day. It is worth every cent. If you are looking for something that is durable and functional, this is it.

Excellent upgradable

 4/5

We've had our classic for 2 years now. During the first year we enjoyed it so much that we upgraded and customized it so much it's now more of Explor-agator-classic. As a base model it is a solid 4 star pram. Add the wheel guards and front foot plate along with a new shade and rear shade and the handle bag and it becomes a real stunner 5 star buggy. It has sporty tires that can go on slight hikes yet is narrow enough to take 2 kiddies through the mall isles.

Love it!

 5/5

I have had my classic phil and ted for two years now and I love it! Brilliant for taking walks out with the town eg woodlands etc. love how you add the extra seat and you have a double!
Now with another one on the way we have loved being able to buy replacement parts and it now looks as good as new!! Xx

Tires constantly deflate!!

 3/5

I have had this for about 3 years. It's nice except it weighs a ton and the tires constantly are deflated. A few months ago I show up at the zoo to meet friends and one tire was so deflated I couldn't even roll it. The night before it seemed fine. Luckily I had a pump in the car. All 3 tires have had to get the green slime in them due to constant deflation. The front rim is also bent from the factory (it's plastic so there is no bending it back). This stroller is great for use on gravel or in the snow. The stroller seems very durable (other than the tires) and the fabric washes well.

Money well spent

 5/5

6 years ago we bought the lot - this buggy, the rain over, doubles kit, car seat adapter and its pretty knackered now but has done 2 kids really well. The tyres are best if you don't pump them up too hard (preventing punctures) and the front wheel has a mind of its own sometimes but it has been brilliant!

Fantastic Pram, the only one you need

 4/5

This pram it great! It folds in and out of the boot with ease! It has great steering, perfect for the streets, shops, anywhere!
I also added the second seat, works well with both kids in it, I had the adapter to put the biggest kid on top and baby laying underneath, I think this works best when you have a baby that needs to lay down, as second seat doesn't full recline.
Overall it is a great pram for any occasion, light weight and moves well. Highly recommended!

Really want to love it

 2/5

This is a great all around stroller in theory. Not too big and can easily handle two kids through many stages of infant and toddler. I am a little disappointed in the quality, mainly in the wheels. Because of the plastic hub you have to be very careful not to over inflate, the hub will break with even the smallest over inflation. Even after replacing the hub we still were not able to keep the tire from falling off the hub. It is a great stroller that could be the best if they would fix this problem

Fantastic all rounder

 5/5

I brought this pushchair as my son has mild cerebral palsy and wears splints, it's easy to lift him in and out and the leg space is fantastic

Great stroller, and loved customer service

 5/5

Over all, I have had a great experience with this stroller. I have two babies 12 months apart. I have the carseat attachment and the second child attachment. I go running every day with my 20 month old in the back second child seat, and my 8 month old in his carseat in the front attached with the bungee cord bobbles... (not sure what Phil & Ted's calls them). My 20 month old girl gets enough shade by being in the backseat, and I have a carseat canopy to protect my son in the front. Once in a while when my 20 month old falls asleep in the car, and the 8 month old is awake, I put him in the second child seat, up on the front attachment, and lay the front seat down flat for my 20 month old. She is extra tall but fits nicely underneath him. I have never seen another design so convenient to use. I have had common problems you might experience with any jogger type stroller, which has to do with the wheels going flat. I called Phil & Ted's and in my customer-is-right attitude informed them I was well out of warranty, but that I thought the wheels had a faulty design, and wanted a replacement. They were 100% kind and sincerely apologized, promptly sending me TWO more sets of tires. Since then, after talking to my friends with many different types and brands of joggers, I learned that flat tires is a common problem in any jogger that have bike-type tires, and they need the same type of repair/maintenance as bike tires. Phil & Ted's customer service could have been defensive and rude, but they were only helpful and generous. (Thanks customer service!) In addition to awesome customer service, I have been pleased with the design of the jogger. It is easy to put together in the morning, and easy to fold up for my errand runs with the kids. The tires are quiet and soft, making napping easy for my babies. I like how narrow the jogger is to fit through tight isles in the store. I prefer it to a shopping cart if I don't have too much to buy. After two years, I am still in love with my Phil & Teds.

Lucky there is a warranty

 1/5

For the cost of this buggy I would expect better manufacturing standards. With normal use we have had to replace the mud guards, domes, zips and wheels. The handle is also too short for taller people to take full strides. Generally it is stable and seems comfortable for our daughter. Lots of flexibility with the capsule and the adjustable back. I don't think I will buy another one.

Looks good but not made to last

 1/5

Disappointed with the quality of this pram considering the price we paid for it. We have been using it for 9 months and already the bumper bar is loose (falls out if my 9 month old son even gently touches it with his hand or foot) and the handle bar has worn and looks old. Unfortunately we purchased it when I was pregnant so it is no longer covered by the 1 year warranty as the 1 year is taken from the date of purchase. It is a good looking pram, and fairly easy to put up and down once you get the hang of it, but not as good quality as I would have expected it to be for the cost. The brake is also terrible. Most Phil and Ted prams these days seem to have a little red 'tab' which you use as the brake, but our one has a long red wire thing which is so hard to take off once it is on, I have to use both hands and really pull it to get it back up. There is no way I could do it with my foot. Overall we are disappointed with this pram, and wish we were able to take advantage of the warranty with 1 year from using it, not purchasing it.

Happy with the stroller

 4/5

We bought a Classic about a month ago, which we have been using for out two year old. We think it runs smoothly and our child seems comfortable and safe in the stroller. The foot lock has taken some getting used to as it requires a special technique and a bit of force to unlock. However, it is becoming less difficult to unlock as time goes on. The handle bar has been chewed on a bit by our child so it's losing its shape and has gotten dirty, it would have been nice to be able to easily remove this part for cleaning. It would also have been nice to able to hang a shopping basket on the handle while at the grocery store. Other from that we've been happy with the stroller and are excited to try it out as a sibling stroller here very soon.

basic but best on the market, just one downside

 5/5

Up untill we bought the classic buggy with the doubles kit we had 3 strollers, one small enough for the mall, one for rougher terrain and winter weather and one for walking to get minimal groceries with a large enough basket underneath, Finally my jogger which was a high end brand that I paid a very large amount of money for broke and the brand made it next to impossible to replace the parts I needed. Finally my husband and I decided to buy a new stroller all together and one day shopping fr strollers we came across the classic buggy with the doubles kit and we fell in love and bought it imedietly, we now have no need fr another stroller, it serves all the purposes of our other strollers in ne nice looking fairly compact package. I have not had tire issues that some complain of however we under imflated a bit to try not to run into that problem. The other models have little extras but this is really all you need its basic but has all the extra features you could ask for. Only complaint is at $450 it would be nice to not have to send another $100 for a weather shield and a uv/bug shield, many other models atleast come with the wether shield. We ended up buying geric brand which fits very well for $10 but may eventually need to splurge on the uv shield but all in all is well worth the price and is a very good value

I LOVE the way it rides

 3/5

I have the classic stroller and I LOVE the way it rides. I think it's a little cumbersome to break down and get back up, especially if you have a baby in tow, but once it's up it's great. I would also like better instructions on different seat positions. I have been meaning to youtube this to see what videos are out there. overall, I would rate this stroller a 4.5. It's a fabulous stroller, needs some slight modifications, but I will continue to buy phil&teds for my child.

Everything I wished for and more

 4/5

I bought my Phil & Teds stroller 4 months ago for my 2 year old boy. He's getting so heavy now that other strollers stood little chance of lasting! I love my Phil & Teds so much. I walk everywhere and I needed something easy to manage out and about, I got everything I wished for and more! Sure we've had a puncture once but I think we had the tire pressure too high, and it was so easy to get a replacement and cheap too so no hassles there! I would highly recommend Phil & Teds to everyone (unless you have a very small car as it folds quite big) I have 2 boys and I've worked my way through lots of strollers-Phil & Teds is the best!

east maneuverability

Really wish I'd found the Phil & Ted pram sooner

 4/5

I loooove it. Even my husband does, we had a different pram with our first child and I really really wish I'd found the Phil & Ted pram sooner. I give it a 5 out of 6. I'll be definitely recommending it to friends.

We love our Phil and Ted Classic buggy!

 5/5

Our daughter absolutely loves riding in it too! The peg perego car seat attachment is great.

Last & best stroller we will buy

 5/5

I have 2 kids 3 & 1 and have been through 5 strollers, our phil&teds being the 6th. I am happy to say it's the last stroller we will buy and by far the best. If 6 is the best I can give I would still give you a 10. This is by far the best and most Well thought out stroller design I have ever seen.

classic

We love our Phil & Ted's stroller! We just took it on vacation to Disneyland and it was perfect for transporting through the airport, the hotel, and most importantly the park. I especially love how versatile the shade canopy is. I will probably purchase the UV shade cover for our next trip to really protect our baby's skin. I have 3 brothers, and we all have a Phil & Teds for our little ones!

I LOVE it!

 5/5

I wanted a stroller that I could use when I took my dog for a walk and this one is perfect. The large inflated wheels are great for the rough asphalt in my neighborhood. I also love that it can be converted to a double so easily. Overall, I've been super happy with it and will definitely recommend it to friends!

I absolutely love my Phil and Teds Stroller

 5/5

Everything about it is amazing. Everywhere I go I get complements and questions about It, and I'm always glad to answer and say how Great Phil and teds company is. I don't know How I would survive without it :)

WONDERFUL

 1/5

We love this stroller! It's great when you have 2 kids and have the ability to use the stroller as a single or double because let's face it...toddlers don't always want to ride. It's so great to have a stroller that converts! It has definite upgrades to the sport including safety features that we were THRILLED they addressed. We love the look and it has an extremely smooth ride. I don't feel like I'm pushing a bus and it's perfect for exercising too, it accomplishes a single, double and joggler all in one. So even though it's expensive, I feel it saved us money by not having to buy 4 different strollers to accomplish what this ONE can. LOVE the adjustable handle, my husband and I have different hight needs, the single I had before this was hard on my husband's back because he had to bend over to push it. He loves the way it looks and handles and now we fight over who gets to push the stroller. I shopped for 6 months trying to find the perfect stroller and when this one was released, I found my perfect stoller and I'm loving it!

Great, but webshop confusing

The parcel arrived fast, however I assumed the buggy for 286£ comes with the second seat as shown on the pictures here, didn't know it's an extra 52£, was my mistake, just want to make sure others don't make same wrong assumptions. Cutomer service replied fast, and was really nice and helpful. Will be happy to buy from here again.

SO GREAT Even Though Imperfect

The Phil & Ted's Classic Buggy Double Stroller is as close to perfect as I can imagine, especially for the price. I have three children under five and cannot imagine life without this stroller. I love smart design, and this stroller has it in spades. The placement of the two seats is genius, and the fact that everything converts to fit the needs of growing children is gravy. I only used the reclining newborn position once, though. Even on smooth asphalt my little one was jostled and swayed too much and the straps didn't cinch small enough for him. (FYI, he was an average-sized newborn at 7+ pounds.) Speaking of the straps, I agree with another reviewer who complained that her preschooler can let herself out of them. My two-year-old does it effortlessly, unfortunately for me. Though bulky and heavy, this stroller is sturdy and easy to maneuver. Other parents often inquire about it when we load it up and take it out. Though the cargo space is small, it's a deficiency I choose to overlook because it fits a diaper bag and three sippy cups just fine. (Personally, I would never opt for the in-line or side-by-side double stroller options in favor of more cargo space.) Tip: if you're a shopaholic who needs room for multiple tote bags, carry a backpack-style diaper bag and/or get a removable hook that fits on the stroller handle instead. My final grouse is that we received a model with a bum wheel. (I'm convinced it's a fluke.) The tire tube ruptured on the first filling and after being replaced, the whheel wobbles and scrapes against the splatter shield. The shields themselves are flimsy. Even with this flaw and the other few, I would still buy this stroller again. It has eliminated any need for me to own another stroller. My final word: You won't find a better combination of function and style for the price.

I'm now in the process of purchasing my 3rd jogging stroller from this site. It has the best customer service, I love it! I previously had a Tike Tech AXT and loved it, but had to get a double. So I got the P&T Classic with the doubles kit and it seemed perfect but...it is not for serious joggers. It does not do well on trails or gravel; it is much more of a street stroller. Another problem is that my youngest child, 8 months old, sat in the back seat and would fall asleep (which normally I would never complain about!) but his neck would slouch forward in a really uncomfortable position, which would make me have to stop frequently and adjust his head. The seat can't recline, obviously, because then it would hit your knees while running. I would have laid him down in the recline position with the extra seat on top, but at his age he didn't like to lie down. Also it has limited storage space. I had to put all my stuff (cups, phones keys, repellent, diapers, and toys) under the stroller which was hard to get to with a child in the back seat! All in all these three things were my main issues. If you can live with that, then I say get it, But for the price you could have much more! I hated getting rid of it, it was compact and light, not to mention, stylish (I got many compliments!) but if you plan on running with it on trails or gravel I would go with something sturdier. Can't wait to try out my new BOB SUS! I didn't want to have to get a huge jogging stroller, but now I'm looking forward to all the luxuries it comes with!

The Only Stroller You'll Need

 2/5

I absolutely LOVE this stroller. I bought it when I was expecting my second & haven't looked back. Prior to this we had a Zooper Boogie (3 wheel) that was great but bulky & not a double. We also had a Maclaren which I LOVED and had gotten very accustomed to it being light and compact. I dreaded moving to a "bus-like" stroller for my 2 under 2. The P&T is so easy to maneouver- it is light and fits through all doorways, shopping aisles, elevators, even escalators! It folds compactly and fits easily in my Jetta (even with the double seat). My toddler enjoyed sitting up high when the baby was in the full recline position (in which she slept VERY well). The baby now enjoys riding upright in the back. (I would note that there is limited room in the shopping basket when the second child is in the rear seat). I find the harness system to be really clever- no wrestling with arms and straps. Great with a wriggly and fussy toddler! The rain cover works well and is easy to get on and off. I appreciate that this stroller easily converts from a single to a double since I can use it when I just have one child out with me. We have the red colour and although it shows dirt it cleans up easily with a soapy cloth. I've had a lot of compliments on its' design and truly enjoy using it shopping, walking, "off roading", running, anywhere really. I'm thoroughly happy with this purchase & we'll use it for years to come! I tell my friends to buy it with their first so they don't end up with muliple strollers by the time they have their second.

Great form, function lacking

I have 5 children aged 9 years to 5 weeks. I have owned MANY strollers. I bought this stroller when I was expecting my 4th. If you read the many other reviews of P&T strollers, you'll get a good feeling for their strengths and weaknesses. The only other comment I would add is that the 5 point "safety" harness system on the seats is poorly designed. The push tabs are too easy to unlock, and my 19 month old lets herself out at will. Not safe or convenient, especially with the 5 week old asleep underneath (my stroller is a double). They need to switch to a lock that is harder to figure out, and much harder to execute!

My wife and I have had a P&T in-line for 4 years now and we love it. I have not had any of the issues mentioned in other reviews (bursting tires, easy-to-unlock-straps, etc.) We have recommended the stroller to everyone who asks about it. I also can't say enough about how durable it was- due to a miscommunication be tween my wife and I, we left it behind the car one day and I proceeded to run it over, and despites some scuffs and minor tears it worked perfectly! Also, as an engineer I have a soft spot for well designed devices, and I was impressed with how well the whole "double-kit" system works. I felt it was rather ingenious. We highly recommend this stroller.
